This is a five-gallon plastic pot that I fill up with yard waste that I raked together and I do some soil sifting. Rather than throw out the debris, I lined the bottom two-thirds of the five-gallon plastic pot with this yard debris and add a top layer of soil.
In the above pot, I was sifting the Christmas palm tree seeds that I gathered together with the soil and other waste that I picked up. I decided to add all the debris along with the Christmas palm tree seeds and then placed a few more red palm tree seeds on the top for color.
Now, we'll sit back and see how long it takes for these Christmas palm tree seeds to germinate in the Dougherty Garden. I'm thinking that it will take at least 60+ days for these seeds to germinate. We'll follow and see and make the necessary notes.
