If you lived in Yorkille, you spent a lot of time in the parks. Both parks, Carl Schurz Park and Central Park. The above scene is from Central Park in 1933. The lake in question is commonly referred to as Row-A-Boat Lake and is still popular today, if I'm right.
In the old days, I used to go fishing in this lake and catch sun fish. We used to used a piece of bread and attach it to a small hook. Some days we were lucky and caught a fish or two.
What were your memories of Row-A-Boat Lake?
