This is a group of Bromeliads that I pulled off the Cabbage palm tree in the Dougherty Garden. Bromeliads have a tendency to grow like weeds if you don't control them. Afrter I had taken this picture, I noticed the small Bromeliad growing at the base and will cut tht one off and place it somewhere else in th Dougherty Garden. Bromeliads start a new Bromeliad from the base of the plant, within the root system and can be broken off. Enjoy,
