For the last few months, other than an odd tropical strom skirting Florida, it's been fairly very dry in South Florida. As a matter of fact, it has been extremely hot for the past few months and the plants in the ground and the majority of the plants in pots have paid a heavy price and dried out.
A picturte of some of the plants that ended up in the garbage can because the roots dried out. It didn't pay to water them as the sun is still very warm and the sprinkler system is not doing the proper job of watering the grass and landsape. Most of these plants were a variety of Hibiscus plants. Several other larger plants, I just took to the curb for anyone to take before the garbage truck collects the next day.
