I just found this picture that I had take last year after the hurricane season and I spotted thsi first seed bract on the Bottle palm tree on October 17, 2017. This is almost a year later and the seed/flower bract has yet to open. i checked the Bottle palm tree today and the seed/flower bract is starting to swell in the middle of the seed/flower bract. I get the impression that the seed/flower bract is getting ready to open up.
This is a single seed/flower bract because as of this morning, there are five seed/flower bracts on this Bottle palm tree and the first one from last year is bulging. Coming soon.
