I collected Mexican Heather one day and this plant likes to inhabit your garden. You have to thread very carefully because the Mexican Heather tends to be a bit aggressive when planted in the ground. I pulled out quite a few from the ground over the years because you really don't remove most of the root system when you do pull one out of the ground. I like them because they are a great ground/area cover and come in two great colors.
The one above is a pink version of the Mexican Heather, while most of the flowers that come with the Mexican Heather are a dark purple color. Either color, and purple is the more common color for the Mexican Heather in the Douherty Garden, are a continuous bloom in the garden. Enjoy.
