The Dougherty family of 324 East 85th Street. We lived on the 2nd Floor in Apartment 2D. We were the supers of the building. What I loved about the building was the ability to have full use of the basement and backyard as being the supers.
As a young boy, I spent a lot of time in a small section of the basement by the door to the backyard which housed my father's shop. The shop had every tool left to the imagination that a handyman would need to fix anything, and dad could fix anything.
