79th Street was close enough to my 85th Street and was always crossed when we went to John Jay Pool. One of the more eventful things that happened on 79th Street was the famous fire in the 1950's at St. Monica's Church. Msgr. George A. Kelly was also identified with St. Monica's Church and School. This is one of the books that he wrote about being a priest. There was another book that he wrote on his experiences in the St. Monica Parish that I had in my possession but returned to its rightful owner.
