Scientific Name: Monstera deliciosa
Common Name: Swiss Cheese Plant
Type: Climbing, Evergreen Vine
The Monstera plant loves a shady area of the Dougherty Garden. I have had the Monstera plant in the Dougherty Garden for many years now. It always loves the shade.
I had planted this Montstera in the ground at the base of a Solitaire palm tree and it climbed right up the trunk to about 10-14 feet up. The aerial roots are rather big when it climbs the Solitaire palm tree.
