Scientific Name: Baleria repens
Common Name: Coral Creeper
Type of Plant: Flowering
This is a pretty unusual flowering plant. I had it for a year and it has been a slow grower in the areas that I had originally planted the Coral Creeper. It's called the Coral Creeper for a reason and I got to learn that first hand this last summer with the Coral Creeper.
Over the year, I have been pulling these small aggressive plant from the ground thinking that it was a weed. The majority of the ones that I was pullijng from the ground did not have any flowers, so I was not able to fully determine that it was was the Coral Creeper. Now I know and I have been collecting these little seedlings from all over the Dougherty Garden for the past two months.
The above picture was taken last year in 2018 and that is why I continued to let the Coral Creeper to continue to grow in this planter in the front yard. Now that I know about the numerous seedlings all over the oplace, I'll see if I can get a picture of the seed pods before the Coral Creeper spreads the seeds.
