The meat store in Yorkville, just off 86th Street and on 2nd Avenue, is Schaller & Weber. It was not only the meat store but was collection of breads that were huge and cut into squares. If a butcher waited on you, you always got a small frankfurter to munch on while you waited. I was never inside when it was quiet because it was always crowded. It was very popular because the limos would be lined up outside while people got their butcher goodies inside.
