Scientific Name: Pilea peperomioides
Common Name: Chinese Money Plant, The Sharing Plant
Type of Plant: Houseplant
This is a new plant that I received on Thanksgiving from Ruth (Ruth's Tropical Garden). It's a bit fragile because while I was carry the Pilea peperomioides to my work area on the side of the house. I knocked off about five long leaves while just handling the plant.
I decided to pot up a special soil to hold the plant until I'm sure that I can take a good look at the plant in order to divide the roots as instructed by Ruth. I took an initial look at the roots and saw that the new green shoots emerging from the soil were connected to the mother plant. i opted to just report the plant into a large pot and just observe the growth over time.
