So You Served - Turkish Baths SYS052 - January 2, 2019


When we were doing a landing operation in Marmaris, Turkey, I discovered these Turkish Baths. We learned from the local history that the Roman Army actually were active in this area and used the Turkish Baths on a regular basis when they were stationed at Marmaris, Turkey.

These Turkish Baths were the real thing and I couldn't understand why they weren't actively being used at the time. The cold mountain streams of water flow through the area, as you can see in the above picture, and is heated by the steam venting from below he ground...hence, a Turkish Bath. I'll see if I can find my picture of taking a Turkish bath, I'll have to cut part of the picture. Enjoy,
