This was from a newspaper clipping from the Camp Lejeune paper that covered President John F. Kennedy's vsit to the 2nd Marine Division in North Carolina in 1962. I believe that it was the largest peace time landing operation since World War II. At the time, there were about 40,000 U.S. Marines stationed at Camp Lejeune. Enjoy,
